The Role

We are looking for a commercially minded and proactive Marketing Lead – USA & North America to take ownership of marketing performance in the region, while working within the global marketing strategy, brand direction, and budgets set by the Head of Marketing. 

This role will be responsible for delivering regional marketing activity that supports brand awareness, lead generation, customer engagement, and sales pipeline growth across the USA and North America. You’ll adapt global campaigns for the regional market, identify local opportunities, and ensure activity is delivered effectively, measured accurately, and aligned with wider business objectives. 

You’ll be accountable for the success of marketing activity in your region, working closely with the Head of Marketing, wider marketing team, and regional sales stakeholders to ensure campaigns are commercially focused, on-brand, and delivered within agreed budgets and timelines. 

This is a hands-on regional marketing role requiring both strategic awareness and strong execution. You’ll need to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and confidently lead regional campaigns from planning through to delivery and evaluation, while staying closely aligned with the global marketing plan.

This role will be office-based at the heart of our US activities based in Birmingham, Alabama. For this specific role, we are seeking a candidate who resides within a reasonable commuting distance from our office.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience and skills.

Location: Birmingham, AL (office-based, Monday–Friday, normal business hours, typically 8am–5pm CT). Office located in the Meadowbrook area off Hwy 280.

Employment Type: Full-time, exempt (salaried)

Travel: Regular travel within the US and Canada for trade shows, customer visits, regional meetings, and conferences (approximately 10% of working time). May also require travel to our global headquarters in London, England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the marketing activity across the USA and North America, ensuring regional campaigns align with the global marketing strategy, brand guidelines, and agreed budgets. 

  • Develop and manage the regional marketing activity plan in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and wider Head Office marketing team. 

  • Adapt global campaigns, messaging, and content for the USA and North American market, ensuring relevance to local audiences, sectors, and buyer needs. 

  • Work closely with regional Sales teams to align marketing activity with pipeline goals, target sectors, key accounts, and commercial priorities. 

  • Own and manage regional content across digital channels, including social media, blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, website updates, and promotional materials. 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and performance review of USA and North American email marketing, social media, webinars, trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional campaigns. 

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, website traffic, engagement, lead generation, conversion metrics, and ROI. 

  • Own the quality and maintenance of USA and North American CRM marketing data, ensuring customer and prospect records are accurate, up to date, well-segmented, and suitable for targeted campaigns, reliable reporting, and effective sales follow-up. 

  • Attend relevant USA and North American trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to support brand awareness, lead generation, and regional market engagement. 

  • Coordinate and attend customer visits to capture case studies, testimonials, and video content, working with customers, Sales, and the wider marketing team to identify suitable opportunities. 

  • Identify regional market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and campaign opportunities to inform local execution and global planning. 

  • Manage regional campaign timelines, suppliers, event logistics, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. 

  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Head of Marketing on regional performance, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B marketing, with demonstrable experience owning campaigns, channels, or regional marketing activity. 

  • Experience working within a global or international business is highly desirable. 

  • Confident working within a centralized marketing strategy, brand framework, and agreed budget, while taking responsibility for regional execution and results. 

  • Strong understanding of B2B acquisition channels, both online and offline, and how marketing activity supports lead generation, sales pipeline, and customer engagement. 

  • Experience working closely with Sales teams to support regional growth, campaign follow-up, and lead conversion. 

  • Comfortable adapting global messaging and campaigns for local markets and audiences. 

  • Able to use data to evaluate marketing performance, identify opportunities, and make practical recommendations for improvement. 

  • A self-starter with the confidence to lead projects independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across different countries and time zones. 

  • Hands-on experience with a CRM and marketing automation platform. We use HubSpot, so prior HubSpot experience is a plus. 

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
